Walking and Birding

01 October 2022 - Taroko, Modderfontein

My son and I joined a few family members and friends for an early morning walk around the Taroko grounds. This is a great and safe venue for both walkers and mountain bikers.

We headed off at 6:30 for a 12km walk/hike. It was at a pace a little to fast for general birding, but when I saw a Long-crested Eagle perched atop a big dead tree - I did stop

There weren't too many other photographic opportunities due to the pedestrian and cycling traffic, but the walk was invigorating
