31 December 2021 - Kyalami Estates
I didnt get much patch birding in during December, but still managed a respectable 52 species with a pair of Freckled Nightjar's being the real highlight. This is really was an unexpected species, certainly in our Estate, but most welcome. Not many migrants seen, other than a Willow Warbler.
During 2021 I recorded 103 species in the Estate which I was really pleased with.
All the images shown below were taken from the comfort of my balcony and without leaving the house and are all resident species in and around Kyalami Estate;
